Documents for NEET BDS Admission
Document Verification is one of the most crucial steps to confirm your admission because allotment alone doesn’t guarantee your final victory. The final admission is only confirmed after the reporting procedure for verification of eligibility and original documents. Hence, below is the complete list of documents you need to prepare before this final and last step to BDS Admission.
The mandatory original documents required at the time of joining the allotted dental college are as mentioned below: (mandatory documents)
- Allotment Letter issued by MCC/ competent state authority.
- Admit cards for exams issued by NTA.
- Result/ or rank letter issued by NTA.
- Date of Birth Certificate (if the Metric Certificate does not bear the same).
- Class 10th Certificate.
- Class 10+2 Marks Sheet.
- Eight (8) Passport-size photographs, same as those used in the application form.
- Proof of identity (Aadhar/ PAN/ Driving Licence/ Passport).
- Fee Receipts (Registration Fee/Security Deposit Fee/College Fee if paid).
Mandatory Specific Documents for NRI/ OCI/PIO/ and foreign national candidates:
- Passport copy of the sponsor, embassy certificate.
- Sponsorship affidavit (stating that the sponsor is ready to bear the expenses for the whole duration of the study).
- Affidavit of Relationship of Candidate with the Sponsor.
The candidate must also carry the following certificate, if applicable:
- SC/ST candidate: SC/ST certificate issued by the competent authority / Sub caste should be mentioned in the certificate.
- OBC-Non-Creamy Layer Candidate: OBC-NCL as per the Central List certificate issued by the competent authority. The sub-caste should tally with the Central List of OBC. The OBC candidates should not belong to the Creamy Layer to claim the OBC reservation benefit.
- PwD candidate: Disability Certificate issued by a duly constituted and authorized Medical Board for 21 Benchmark Disabilities as per the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act 2016 (RPWD Act, 2016). No other PWD certificate issued by any other Authority/Hospital will be entertained.
- EWS candidate: EWS Certificate as per the prescribed format.
Additionally, some noteworthy points here are that these certificates are only accepted in English/ Hindi. A certificate that is translated from a regional language must be attested by a gazetted official. Apart from that, the certificates must be produced in the standard formats mentioned in the information bulletin by MCCI.
NEET BDS Exam: Overview

NEET BDS Counselling: Overview
Mere qualification in the NEET exam won’t deliver you your goal! Further, after NEET UG results are announced, you have to take part in the NEET UG counselling for BDS. This counselling includes all BDS seats in government and private colleges in India.
The counselling is conducted by the Medical Counseling Committee of India (MCCI) of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), New Delhi. The competent authority will announce the NEET BDS counselling date for completing the admission process into the BDS colleges. The qualified students have to register at http://mcc.nic.in to participate in the All-India Counseling Process, which is a multi-step process.
However, for admission into BDS colleges affiliated with state universities or state quota seats, you have to register on their respective admission website designated by the medical directorates of that particular state.
